Learning English does not stop after a non-native speaker masters grammar and vocabulary. You may be able
to provide specific information, but you can convey how you feel about what you are saying? If the intonation in your
speech is not standard, your meaning may not be clear. The next step in the process is to improve your pronunciation
of English. When you think of how to improve your pronunciation, repetition first comes to mind. But repetition of a
mistake is even worse. That is why a trained native instructor should be included in your strategy to overcome the
pronunciation barrier.
Using a building block approach, the DUDULA method identifies a student's weak points and focuses on correcting the problem areas. DUDULA uses diagrams and physical exercises to correctly teach how to pronounce words in the English language. Of course, repetition is important even after a student has initially mastered pronouncing a difficult word. The DUDULA method includes teaching students how to continue on their own to maintain and some cases further refine their pronunciation ability. |
